Meet The Team
James Taylor - Managing Director
Originally from Hinckley in Leicestershire, James moved to Cardiff to attend University where he graduated in 2004 with a degree in Child Psychology. James then completed a PGCE and has coached different sports in both America and Africa. 
James set up Sportstars in 2005 with the simple objective of ‘spreading the benefits and pleasures of sport to as many people as possible'. In 2006 James was named Wales Shell Livewire Young Entrepreneur of the Year and is currently on the Welsh assembly Government Dynamo Role Model scheme which involves touring Wales giving motivational speeches to young people.
Recent success has also seen James and his Sportstars team crowned as the Top Young Business within the UK.

Emrys Haugen - General Manager

Favourite Holiday Course: Too many to list, but my first ever course was Cowbridge, Half Term 2005. That holds a precious spot in my heart.

Favourite Sportstars Memory: My goodness gracious me, there are so many to choose from. Winning the Shell Livewire award, being announced in the top ten young companies in the UK, being named as the Top Young Business of 2007 in the UK.... but every day knowing that through Sportstars so many children are having positive sporting experiences, probably tops the list.
Hobbies: Football, snowboarding, going to the gym, cinema, badminton, surfing, sky diving and any other sport you can think of!!

Hobbies: Golf, rugby, skiing, canoeing and looking after my three fantastic children, Megan, Owen and Alys!
