Child Safety
At SportStars Child Safety is our number one priority. All of our coaches hold an enhanced CRB check are First Aid trained and fully qualified to ensure that pupils develop in a safe learning environment. Every child under the care of SportStars is also fully insured. We also undertake regular child safety audits to ensure that out child protection and health and safety policy is upheld.
Employment
Every member of staff employed by SportStars has to undertake a thorough job application process to ensure that we only employ experienced, passionate coaches who have worked with children before. Character references are always requested prior to employment and a full enhanced CRB must be completed prior to working for SportStars.
All coaches are required to attend a SportStars Training Course where amongst other things, matters of health and safety and child protection policy are discussed to ensure that every member of the coaching team is fully briefed prior to working with children within schools.
In-school
We regularly monitor our staff working in schools through both observing their lessons and also keeping in regular contact with the Head-teacher and P.E co-ordinator in school. This is again to ensure that all pupils develop in a safe learning environment.
